Your text
Up to 20,000 characters per run. Emoji, accented characters and multiple paragraphs are all supported.
How your text is handled: matching runs in this browser tab, so the text you paste here is not sent to a TypeMatch server and is not saved between visits — closing or reloading the tab clears it. Usage analytics record only counts and settings, never your text. Anything you copy out is then handled by your own clipboard and the app you paste into.

Questions, answered.
What is lorem ipsum?+
Lorem ipsum is scrambled Latin-like text used as placeholder copy in design and typesetting. It lets designers show the shape of a layout without distracting readers with real content.
Can the generator match an exact character count?+
Yes. In Characters mode we pad or trim vocabulary so the output lands within zero to two characters of the source, and Character Lock lets you edit the placeholder without losing the fit.
Does it preserve paragraphs and line breaks?+
In Structure mode line breaks, paragraph spacing, headings, bullets, and numbered lists are preserved. A three-word heading becomes a three-word placeholder heading.
Is my pasted copy stored?+
Matching runs in your browser tab, so what you paste is not sent to a TypeMatch server. The homepage tool keeps nothing after you close the tab. The standalone generator saves recent generations in this browser's local storage, clearly labelled, and you can clear that history at any time. Analytics record counts and settings only, never your text.
Can I use it with Figma, Illustrator, or InDesign?+
Yes. Copy the generated text and paste it into any design tool. A dedicated Figma plugin is on the roadmap for Pro users.
Does it work with headings, buttons, and lists?+
That's the whole point. Multi-Block mode also lets you paste several UI strings at once and get equivalent placeholders back with matching line breaks.
Can I generate placeholder copy without an account?+
Always. The core generator is free and account-free. Sign in is only for syncing history and presets across devices.
Does it support multiple languages?+
The generator ships with Classic Lorem plus seven English placeholder vocabularies. Language-aware length simulation is planned for Pro.
