TypeMatch for Figma designers
In Figma the constraint is the frame, not the word count in the abstract — copy that gains four words pushes a card into a second line and the auto-layout absorbs it silently. TypeMatch works alongside Figma today through the clipboard: select the text layer, copy the string, match it here, paste it back. This page explains that loop honestly, and what a direct plugin would change if it existed.

Hugging containers resize around text. Matching the character count keeps the card's height stable between the before and after screenshots.
Component variants
Generating one string per variant at matching lengths keeps a variant sheet visually even.

Latin in a deck invites questions about the filler. Readable placeholder at the same length keeps the review on the design.

Is there a TypeMatch Figma plugin?

Not yet. There is no plugin published on the Figma community today, and nothing to install. The workflow on this page is copy and paste through the clipboard. You can join the waitlist below to hear if a plugin ships.
How do I move text between Figma and TypeMatch?

Double-click the text layer, select all, copy, then paste into the source box here. After matching, copy the result and paste it back over the selected text in Figma.
Can I match several layers at once?

Partly. If you can get each string onto its own line — for example by copying a list of labels — structure mode matches them line for line and you paste them back individually.
Does pasting from Figma bring formatting with it?

Pasted rich text is flattened to plain text before matching, and repeated spaces and line endings are normalised, so nothing hidden travels into the count.
